Good Friday and Easter Sunday

Good Friday

On Good Friday 14th April 2017, different religions, that is Catholics and Protestants, organized together and moved around the town. They were carrying their crosses and were singing the songs about the death of Jesus Christ. One Reverend father acted like Jesus and they were beating him using simple sticks but not beating him seriously just demonstrating how they mistreated Jesus Christ. The Reverend who was acting like Jesus was made to carry a big cross and a man helped him to show how Simon helped Jesus to carry the cross.

Easter Sunday

During Easter Sunday people in the village were celebrating and taking local beer. They used calabashes (orushare) to drink their local beer called Omuramba in local language. This local beer is made from sorghum and many people in the villages from Kabale district like it very much.
